David is passionate about, and committed to, creating, or building upon, a sustainable and lasting employee centric culture, which he refers to as Cornerstone Culture. In essence, Cornerstone Culture serves as the foundation upon which everything else is built. It will ensure that employee—and customer—engagement are not just words, but rather attitudes woven throughout the fabric of the organization.
David believes that through Cornerstone Culture: employee retention improves; customer service is enhanced; while lasting customer loyalty is created; and financial outcomes are improved. Cornerstone Culture then becomes an integral part of a viable and sustainable corporate brand. David’s leadership style tends to focus on “what can be” as opposed to “what has been”.
Having created the framework of Cornerstone Culture, David uses this framework to accelerate corporate performance by improving employee engagement and retention through his unique focus on Team Culture and Success. David believes that Customer loyalty increases when your Team is happy and cared about. They treat Customers well when they are treated well themselves, increasing positive financial outcomes as a result. David believes Cornerstone Culture is an integral part of a viable and sustainable corporate brand and he brings it to every business he leads.
With a background in strategic, transformational operations leadership, David has extensive experience leading companies, growing revenue, and enhancing profitability. His operating company management expertise, which complements his experience with private equity firms and a Wall Street private bank, presents a unique skill set to lead your business to success, now and in the future.
Considering himself a servant leader that believes in the question, “How do I make you feel?” David uses this key conversation point with his team. He understands that executive oversight of business planning and a strong Go-To-Market strategy can change the game for businesses, and he empowers teams to deliver success.
Having acquired four businesses out of bankruptcy and shifted them into successful growth mode, David has closed on over $1 billion in transactions. His expertise spans healthcare, retail, consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, financial services, transportation and logistics, and technology industries.
David graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC with a BSBA in Finance and is a Chartered Financial Analyst through the CFA Institute. He has served on the board of directors for numerous public, private, and non-profit organizations and is a member of the Private Directors Association® and Business Navigators DFW.
